🎯 Objective
Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your Ugosign account to add an additional layer of security to sign-in.
📝 Prerequisites
- Access to your Ugosign account.
- A smartphone or a TOTP authenticator app (Proton Pass, Bitwarden, etc.).
📍 Steps
- Sign in to Ugosign and open Profile > Security.
- Click "Enable".
- Scan the QR code or enter the secret key from your app.
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app and confirm.
- Download or copy your backup codes and keep them in a safe place (password manager, vault).
- Click Finish to confirm activation.
✅ Expected result
2FA is enabled. At each new sign-in (or from a new device), a 6-digit code will be requested in addition to your password.
💡 Good to know
- TOTP codes refresh every 30 seconds. If a code fails, wait for the next one and check your phone’s time.
- Lost access to the 2FA app: use a backup code to sign in, then reset your 2FA.
- From Profile > Security, you can disable 2FA or regenerate backup codes.
